My Approach
Through a compassionate and collaborative approach, I work closely with you to uncover the insights and strategies that can help you achieve your priority goals. Together, we will develop customized plans that address your specific needs and goals. My aim is to create a safe, supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and develop the tools and strategies you need to overcome challenges and live your best life.
The core of my coaching process includes the following elements:
- Structured Coaching Program: My coaching program follows a structured sequence that meets the requirements set by the International Coaching Federation. This structure has a significant impact on your ability to make positive changes or enhance important aspects of your life.
- Focus Areas: As your coach, I help you identify and achieve your goals in various areas, including but not limited to:
- Job/career/professional growth and success
- Family/relationships/partnerships
- Personal, emotional, and spiritual strength and well-being
- Self-confidence and self-enrichment
- Positive mental health
- Physical health and healthy habits
- And more…
- Vision and Growth: My goal is to support you in becoming the highest version of yourself that you can envision. This is the core value and importance of coaching.
- Empowerment: Many people discover through coaching that they feel trapped by their lives, families, or jobs. Coaching empowers you to take charge of your life and health without compromising other aspects of your life.
- Setting Up for Success: Our work together is to establish the conditions necessary for your inevitable success in the areas you choose to focus on.

So how will we go about this?
We will begin our journey together discussing, identifying and prioritizing the outcomes you would like to have from a 90-day coaching sequence with me.
The program we will go through is centered around 3 core principles:
- The right SYSTEM
- The right SUPPORT
- The right ACCOUNTABILITY
The right system means the right steps in the right order.
The first step in the process is to ask you to complete a set of questions. Your responses will help us identify and prioritize where there is an opportunity to help you achieve a greater sense of happiness, achievement, fulfillment and personal joy in life overall. The questions are designed to:
- Uncover challenges you are experiencing or what you do not feel is going as well as you’d like.
- Identify where there is opportunity for growth in any aspect of your daily life.
We will follow completing responses to these questions with a “Wheel of Life" Assessment which measures your level of satisfaction in 16 life domains and can be used to further drill down into the areas in your life that would benefit from enrichment.
We combine insights from your responses to the questions and the results of your "Wheel of Life" Assessment to identify the areas you may focus on and the relative priority for each. We will discuss the findings from the combined results to define where we will start our coaching journey together.
Once we have identified the areas you might want to work together on - we will first establish a future vision for yourself. A future state vision is a statement of who you will be, what your life experiences will be like and what changes will occur in your life to get you where you want to be.
We will talk about what has kept you from having that or reaching that outcome in the past – what’s getting in the way? What do you need to get there or to arrive at that future state vision for yourself?
We will set SMART goals that will guide us and measure progress in reaching that future version of yourself.
Each coaching session will be designed to:
- Establish action steps (no more than 2 -3 each session). Each action step will be progressive and built off the previous actions.
- Provide you resources to support the action you wish to take to get to your future version of yourself.
- Work through what you need to accomplish or complete each action item you agree on.
As a metaphor – Picture yourself on one side of a river, and everything that you want is on the other side. Right now, the river is filled with all the things that get in the way of you showing up for yourself.
My job is to share with you, guide you, walk along side you in the way across that river that is easy and fun.
A Typical Coaching Session
Our coaching sessions can be in person, virtual, or a combination of the two if you prefer.
My approach to coaching commonly includes a 12-week coaching sequence or program. It is possible to customize the length of the sequence as well. More details on that can be found below.
We will work to establish a regular time each week for the 12-week coaching sequence knowing that from time to time adjustments to our schedule may be needed.
Coaching sessions are typically 45 minutes to 60 minutes in length and they occur weekly. You can expect a follow-up email from me after each of our sessions highlighting what we discussed and confirming the action steps for the week that we agree to. I often include tools to help with and support your action steps. I also commonly check-in with you between session to offer any help, support, and encouragement you may need.
Most often, my coaching sessions with you will follow a path and structure similar to that below:
- Starting with what is going well.
- Reviewing how you did/are doing on your goals and related action steps (celebrate those achieved and uncover why others may not have been achieved and what is needed to move us forward). Talk about challenges and coach around obstacles you faced.
- Share information, tools and resources that will further advance your progress.
- Have an experiential exercise designed to build skill, confidence, comfort and modeling behaviors, mindsets and perspectives you want/need to achieve your goals.
- Talk through what you need to remain accountable and importantly what support you need from me and others.
- Finish up with any aha's, insights and appreciation that came out of that day’s session.
We will actively measure progress, do frequent check-ins, and we may decide to change course as we discover and uncover new things along the way.
I encourage that we start with at least a 12-week coaching sequence. The work we will do together is progressive and involves habit change. Life transformation, better life results take time. Many clients renew or continue into a second or more set of coaching sequences as we uncover additional areas they would like to work on.
It is also possible to customize the length of your coaching program for either a shorter or longer sequence. For example, we can design a program that is 4, 6, or 8 weeks in length or a program that extends beyond the 12 weeks such as a 15 or 20 week sequence. We can discuss what works best for you, your schedule and what you are seeking to achieve!

My Commitment to you:
- To support and cheer you on, stretch you out of your comfort zone.
- Challenge you to get curious and question how you are currently approaching different areas of your life.
- Help unlock your potential so that you are empowered to have absolutely anything you desire to create in life.
- To inspire you to step into full alignment in every area of your life with who you want to be.
The 10 things I ask from you:
- Participating in weekly coaching sessions with me for 60 minutes.
- If possible set aside the same day and time each week.
- Being authentic, honest, and speaking up for what you want.
- Letting it be okay not to know all the answers.
- Be ok with feeling vulnerable at times - I have your back.
- Be willing to take risks, try new things and stretch beyond your current experience.
- Honoring our relationship by being direct, truthful, and open so we can go farther, faster.
- Being responsible for your own results, which includes proactively asking for support, scheduling additional coaching calls when needed and taking full advantage of your program benefits.
- Being patient with yourself and resting periodically to “catch up”.
- Celebrating your wins, shifts, achievements and excitement throughout the program.
Bottom Line:
Bottom line - these coaching sessions are designed to be focused on you as the priority and meant to meet the needs you have for growth and realizing your goals …. your best self!
